'Self-Appraisal': a poem by Raghav Kaushik

My mind whitethorn be gripped by the dark nighttime of Fear, And I whitethorn be reminded that Doom has no peer. merely I go away be brave; I fix Courage. The weaken clock whitethorn immobilise me, And provoke me may the charge inactivity. still I forget custody; I prolong Patience. I may be light-emitting junction rectifier astray by ignorant fools, And led to follow the plenty interchangeable fish in their schools. But I will think; I suck in Wisdom. Chaos vociferous sonography may deafen me piercingly, And Pandemonium may reign on me. But I will preserve tranquility; I nurture Peace. The wicked ways of Guile may test my self-control, And the unsoundness may plague my soul. But I will cut my barricade; I have Temperance. The only eye of unreason may my brain cloud, And fallacious Logics voice may be very loud. But I will cogitate; I have Reason. Lies may spread around the world like cancer, And they may decide to stop me from finding Lifes answer. Bu t I will be crude(a); I have Truth. Monotonys blunt natural language may revenge me excruciatingly, And Ennui may inject its spray into me slowly. But I will be different; I have Life. Only my empty carcass may be taken by Lucifers daughter, And not my soul- she may only be a scavenger. I will boast; I have God.
