Womanism and Women of Color

I decl bed myself a womanist when I realized that vacuous womens feminism really didnt speak to my needs as the daughter of a dismal, single, national worker. I felt that, historically, unclouded women were working hard to change state themselves from housework and childc ar, while women of modify got stuck cleaning their kitchens and raising their babies. There is a engagement between beingness a white feminist and being a part of white feminism. A white feminist simply means, you are white and you are a feminist. existence a part of white feminism means you are following a white-centric feminism that ignores the specialized issues of women of color. Not skillful women of color, but disabled women, non-conforming women, and trans women as well. White feminism is non-inclusive, racist, and holds roughly aspect of the patriarchy as well.
